Ramzy Ezzeldin Ramzy

Ramzy Ramzy Ezzeldin Ramzy (born February 4, 1954) is the Assistant Minister of Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs and International Cooperation of Egypt. He is also Egypt’s Commissioner to the Developing 8 Countries (D-8).
==Biography==
Ambassador Ramzy Ezzeldin Ramzy is currently the Head of the Mission of the League of Arab States to Austria and Permanent Observer to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Vienna (May 2013).
Prior to this assignment, Ambassador Ramzy served as First Under Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt (September – December 2012). Ambassador Ramzy was Ambassador of Egypt to the Federal Republic of Germany (2008-2012).
Prior to his assignment to Berlin, Ambassador Ramzy served as the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Affairs and Internationaal Cooperation (2007–2008). Ambassador Ramzy served as Ambassador to Austria (2003–2007) where he also served as Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international Organizations based in Vienna. He also served as Egypt's Governor to the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) where he was Vice-Chairman during the period 2005-2006. He was also Egypt's Non-Resident Ambassador to the Slovak Republic (2004–2007).
Ambassador Ramzy served as Ambassador to Brazil (1997–2000) and Non-Resident Ambassador to Suriname and Guyana. He served at the Egyptian Embassies in Washington, D.C., Moscow and to the Permanent Mission of Egypt to the United Nations in New York.
Ambassador Ramzy has served as Head of Egyptian delegations to the General Conferences of IAEA, United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) as well as the Preparatory Committee of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ), United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) and OSCE Ministerial Conferences.
Ambassador Ramzy has also been a member of Egyptian delegations to numerous international and regional conferences and meetings including the UN General Assembly, Summits and Ministerial Meetings of the Arab League, the African Union (AU), the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
Among others, Ambassador Ramzy has received the order of Merit, Fifth Class from Egypt and the GRA-CRUZ da Ordem Nacional do Cruzeiro do Sul from Brazil.
Born on February 4, 1954, Ambassador Ramzy was educated at the American University in Cairo where he received his BA in Economics in 1974, and at the University of Surrey, United Kingdom, where he completed his M.Sc. in Economics in 1975.
